Negativity, Idiocy, and Finely Machined Steel

Enter the 2010(?) Honda VFR 1200.  Seeing pics of this thing make me want to put off my new bike purchase for a year or two.  Whether it will be a 1000 or 1200 is still debatable, but rumor has it the VFR’s traditional V4 is going the way of the dodo in favor of a V-5 variant of Honda’s 990 Moto GP engine.  It’s said that in production tune it will be pushing 200 HP.  In other words, w00t.  Considering how Honda has been pricing new bikes the last few years, I’d expect this thing to be price competitive for many harleys when it hits showrooms.  That alone will keep it solidly out of my grasp until they start hitting the used market.  Damn.
